Estate Planning

Estate Planning in North Carolina

Estate planning is the process of making your wishes for the future known, and putting those wishes into writing so that your loved ones know exactly what to do in the event something happens to you such that you cannot make decisions on your own. At Hein Law, we offer several Estate Planning documents, to help you make these plans.

Last Will and Testament:

This is the document most people think of when we speak of Estate Planning. A last will and testament allows you to direct what happens to your assets upon your passing. This can help prevent some of the turmoil among family members during an already difficult time.

Power of Attorney:

A power of attorney allows you to appoint someone to make decisions on your behalf in the event you are unable to do so. You can appoint someone to handle your personal business and financial matters, as well as someone to handle your healthcare matters.

Living Will:

A living will allows you to establish your wishes with regard to end-of-life care.

If you are interested in establishing an estate plan, call us today to set up a meeting with Attorney Valerie Hein.
